About Us

Hi! We are Jacob and Shon! We were introduced by a mutual friend who knew we were a perfect match. From that moment on, we’ve been building our life together. In 2022 we welcomed our daughter, Rebecca, into our hearts. Jacob manages labs nationwide for a food company, and when he’s not working, he’s busy with our farm. He loves animals and enjoys volunteering, including training service animals. Shon works in sales management with a team across the U.S. and Canada. He’s passionate about athletics, having spent ten years coaching kids in various programs. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his family on the farm and catching up with friends and family. We’re excited to grow our family and share our love and adventures with a new addition.

Our Home & Pets

Our community is known for its tight-knit, family-oriented atmosphere and strong community involvement and spirit. Residents actively participate in local events and support neighborhood initiatives, enjoying the area’s peaceful surroundings and safe environment. Our home and 25 acre farm are conveniently located within ten minutes of public schools and popular local attractions. In addition to the many animals that live on our farm, we have four dogs and a cat that live inside the home.

Our Extended Family

Family is extremely important to both of us, and we make it a priority to share as much time as we can with our parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. We enjoy spending time visiting the local zoos, taking the boat on the lake, taking family vacations, and spending holidays together, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Jacob has one sister, who has three sons who love to spend time at our farm. Jacob’s parents are actively involved in our lives and visit us as much as they can.

Shon has four siblings, one of whom offered to be a surrogate and carried our daughter, Rebecca. Shon’s family loves visiting the farm, where all the nieces, nephews, and cousins can spend time with the animals and enjoying nature.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our journey to adoption stems from our belief that family is created through love, not just biology. Having welcomed our daughter into the world through surrogacy, we've experienced the profound joy of parenthood and are excited to expand our family through adoption. The idea of providing a loving, stable home for a child who needs one is deeply meaningful to us. We've seen the beauty of adoption through friends, and we're eager to share our love and lives with another child.
