Dear Expectant Mother,

The adoption process can be stressful and emotional, with lots of highs and lows, but we know any of those feelings we feel pale in comparison to what you are likely experiencing while reading this letter. We recognize and so greatly appreciate the time and consideration you are putting into your adoption plan; it is very hard to imagine how difficult of a decision you are making.

We know children are such an amazing gift, and we would be eternally grateful to you for helping add to our family. Growing our family and filling our hearts with love for a second child is something we both feel would complete our lives in a way nothing else can. We promise we will be the best parents we can be. We will love your child unconditionally while providing all opportunities possible, including travel, education, and experiences. Thank you for considering us.

About Us

We met through a mutual friend several years ago and have been inseparable since! One of our favorite things to do together is go on vacations, including to our home in Florida located only five miles from Disney World. Our first vacation was to Hawaii only three months after meeting each other! We also love boating on our lake, downhill skiing, taking our dogs for walks, and talking about our future dreams, which include growing our family. Scott loves his job as a dance studio owner and teacher, which he finds very rewarding while helping the young students grow. Micah works from home for a trading company as a trading operations specialist and enjoys finding success in the corporate world. We welcomed our daughter, Clara, into our home when she was born in October 2022, and we are excited to make her a big sister! Through others, we have seen how heartwarming it is to have two siblings spending time together and can’t wait to welcome another child into our home to experience it firsthand.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our home on a lake in the town where Scott owns his dance studio and have kept busy with DIY projects! Our spacious home is the hotspot for gatherings and is nestled between four family-friendly parks. After our daughter was born, we convinced Scott’s sister and parents to move here, so we are now sandwiched between them, each about a half mile away! The town we live in is not too big or small, which makes it feel cozy and friendly without missing out on restaurants, great school programs, or shopping. Between the lake, movie theater, and local festivals, there is never a dull moment! We also have two dogs: Berniece, a miniature dachshund, and Harold, a standard poodle. They are quite the pair to watch play and are also anxiously awaiting another brother or sister!

Our Extended Family

Family is everything to both of us. Scott has four sisters he is very close to, and Micah has one brother. The arts have always been important in Scott’s family; everyone has played an instrument, participated in musicals, and competed in dance. Scott can’t wait to sing, dance, and make sock puppets with his own family!

Education has always been important in Micah’s family. Growing up, he and his brother were involved in extracurricular activities, which he believes provided a strong work ethic and real-world skills. He looks forward to encouraging his future family to reach their full potential and try new things.

Both of our families live very close to us and are excited to welcome a new grandchild, niece, or nephew! All future grandparents are ready to spoil and provide lots of love and snuggles.

What Led Us To Adoption

As early as age four, when asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Scott answered, “A dad!” Both of us knew from a young age that we wanted to be fathers; that desire to build a family was something that came up very early in our relationship and brought us even closer. We chose adoption because as two males, we cannot have biological children but know we can offer children endless opportunities.
