About Us

Our love story began in 2015 while working on a production of an opera, an encounter that remedied a missed opportunity to meet the year prior. What started as a collaborative working relationship unfolded into an undeniable connection and a lifetime of teamwork. We’ve seamlessly merged our love for the arts with the intricacies of the sciences and healthcare. Our journey has witnessed the remodeling of our first home and the construction of two subsequent ones, a testament to our collaborative spirit and unified vision for our life. Continuously inspiring each other’s self-improvement, last year we embraced a new adventure by relocating to Virginia to be close to family, especially our seven-year-old nephew. This change of scenery proved to be the missing piece, breathing renewed life into our shared dreams and solidifying the reality we’ve tirelessly strived to create for our family.

Our Home & Pets

We recently moved into a brand-new five-bedroom, four-bath house in Virginia that sits within a highly ranked school district for our county. In fact, our house is located within walking distance of the elementary, middle, and high schools, which will make it possible for your child to be as involved as they’d like in school activities! Our neighborhood has many children, a community pool, and a playground and is located within 15 minutes of everything you could ever want. Within our home, your little one(s) would have two very sweet cats, Jinx and Franklin, to cuddle up with on those chilly winter nights. They love to play and sleep and can’t resist being held and snuggled.

Our Extended Family

Our family is quite large with there being four siblings (all partnered), a nephew, three dogs, and four additional cats in addition to very engaged parents. Most of those family members reside in Pennsylvania, where we moved from, but we see them multiple times a year for holidays and family gatherings, including an annual summer family vacation.

Rob’s brother, sister-in-law, and nephew live very close to us in Virginia (about a seven-minute drive), and we see each other at least two times a week for family dinners, movie nights, bowling, virtual golf, and many other activities.

We have a very extensive group of aunts, uncles, and cousins spread out across the East Coast whom we see for big family gatherings when possible and stay very engaged with on social media and various family group chats. Your child would be joining a huge, loud, but deeply loving group of people of all colors, sizes, and backgrounds and would be a very welcome addition to the family.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our journey toward parenthood has involved diverse paths, including supporting couples through surrogacy and those engaging in the foster-to-adopt process. These experiences have enriched our lives and deepened our understanding of the unique challenges and joys associated with building a family. Now, as we embark on the adoption journey ourselves, our excitement is fueled by the profound desire to offer a child warmth, support, and unconditional love. We believe every child deserves a stable and nurturing environment, and we are eager to embrace the responsibilities and joys that come with being parents. As a bi-racial couple with immigrant relatives, it’s important to us to provide a home where Black and Brown children feel just as seen as Caucasian children.
