dear expectant mother

We are so grateful to you for allowing us to get to know you as a person and potential mother of our future child. We are both compassionate and understanding and want you to know we are here to support you every step of this process. We know you will be overwhelmed with emotion and want you to know you are not alone.

The decision of adoption is an incredibly loving and courageous one, and we would be eternally grateful if you were to consider us to continue this love and support. We feel a strong sense of responsibility to you for choosing us for such a special gift, and we are so excited to continue this journey together. Again, thank you so much for considering us to be a part of your life.

About Us

We met on Instagram in 2018. Drew lived in the UK and Nic in Illinois, so initially all of our communication was online. We talked every day and very quickly realized we had a strong connection. Nic traveled to London in August 2018, and we knew then we wanted to be together forever. Over the following years, we talked daily and visited each other frequently. Drew moved to the USA in January 2022. We married in February 2022, bought a house, and adopted a dog. We both enjoy listening to music and going to shows, bowling, cooking and baking, walking our dogs, family time, watching TV and movies, and mini golf. Nic works for a propane company, and Drew is a delivery driver. We’re very family oriented and enjoy going to state fairs, botanical gardens, pumpkin walks, etc., with family. We also enjoy spending time with our neighbors and have watched fireworks and gone trick-or-treating with them and their toddler.

Our Home & Pets

Our house is in a lovely subdivision filled with growing families. Our neighbors are friendly, and we get along well with everyone. We have 2 dogs; Kingston and Domino. King is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, he is just a puppy and really playful and friendly. Domino is an older Australian Shepherd/Border Collie, who we rescued in May 2022 and just loves to sleep and go for walks. Both dogs are kind and gentle and are great with children and babies. There is a lake nearby, and there are fields and play areas for children. We are also lucky to have access to a family cabin in Wisconsin we can visit anytime.

Our Extended Family

Drew has a small family; his mum and dad are in the UK, and his brother is in England. Nic has a very large immediate and extended family, and this was the main factor when it came to deciding if we would live in the U.S. or UK. Drew’s family are fortunately able to visit whenever they wish, and we spend a lot of our time with Nic’s family, whether that is her dad and stepmom, mom, sisters and stepdad, brother and his wife and adorable newborn baby boy, grandmother, cousins, etc.

Our relationship with our families is very strong, and we FaceTime with Drew’s parents every weekend and message on WhatsApp daily. Our families are very important to us, and we have so much love and support from them all.

What Led Us To Adoption

We knew we wanted children together very early in our relationship. Living in separate countries created challenges to this, but we would try to time our visits to coincide with Nic’s ovulation and attempted to conceive during visits. Unfortunately, we both have fertility issues and attempted four rounds of IUI unsuccessfully. We had to decide whether to move forward with IVF or to adopt and provide a loving home for a child. Our fertility struggles have been difficult, but we have supported each other with immense love to get through it and have amazing support from all our family. We are absolutely certain of our decision to adopt and so excited for the next chapter in our journey
