dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We don’t know each other yet, but please know you have been in our hearts for a very long time. We cannot begin to imagine how overwhelming and emotional this decision is for you, but we hope and pray you feel loved and supported throughout this process. It takes a very strong and special person to consider adoption for their child. Please know we see and admire the bravery and compassion inside of you.

We could not possibly thank you enough for considering us to be the parents of your child. We are so humbled to be considered in receiving such a precious gift. We will be forever grateful to you for making our hearts’ deepest desire of becoming parents a reality!
We promise to respect you and the level of openness and contact you feel comfortable with. We assure you we will provide your child with a safe, loving home and a life with every opportunity imaginable!

But most importantly, we vow to always encourage your child to be themselves and to unconditionally love them exactly the way they are…forever and always!

No matter where this path may take you, we wish you peace, love, and a lifetime of blessings.

About Us

We are the family you can always find dancing in the kitchen together! We’ve gone on many adventures together, but our favorite so far has been growing our family. We both have flexible jobs to ensure we spend lots of time together as a family. We have a happy, healthy marriage and are still head-over-heels in love with each other! Ray has a warm and protective nature to him that is incredibly grounding. Julie has the biggest heart of anyone you’d ever meet. We’re a silly, fun-loving, and creative family, yet we’re never afraid to have the hard, deeper conversations. What we are most proud of is that we always encourage each other and our daughter to be entirely ourselves and love each other just the way we are! We promise to share this love, acceptance, and joy we have created with your child as well.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a 4-bedroom house in a safe and cozy neighborhood. We are surrounded by beautiful views of trees and hills. Though we live in the suburbs, the city is just a quick drive away and we spend our weekends finding fun things to do there. Our city offers tons of kid and family-friendly activities that we enjoy all the time! Our school district has an excellent ranking and our neighbors are very friendly and loving. Right across the street from our house is a communal playground where the neighborhood kids laugh and play. We decorate our home for the holidays, have friends and family over often, and love making memories here!

Our Extended Family

Our family and friends are thrilled to be adding another amazing person to our beautiful little community! They have been very supportive in our decision to adopt. We get together regularly with people who love and support us and encourage our daughter to be herself in her own funky way!

We have many holiday traditions with our parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews that are very near and dear to our hearts. Some of these traditions include checking out different cultural experiences year-round, frying turkey or chicken on Thanksgiving, and baking cookies and exchanging gifts at Christmas. Sharing all of these special moments with our children would be a dream come true for us!

We consider our friends to be our extended family too. Together we have created a strong community of friends who give us endless support and encouragement. We share such similar family values with them, so we are excited to raise our children side by side. Everyone is excited for their kids to have a new “cousin” to play and make many happy childhood memories with!

What Led Us To Adoption

When we were first dating, Julie always told Ray she felt called to adopt after her experiences volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and at an orphanage in Central America. After falling in love with Julie, Ray also fell in love with the idea of adoption. Later on, growing our family biologically has had its struggles. We do have 1 biological daughter and we can’t wait to watch her grow up with a sibling! We believe it is love and acceptance that creates a family, not DNA. We have such a wonderful life together, but we all feel like there is someone missing and are so thankful to be starting our adoption journey!
