We are a successful, happy, fun, loving same-sex married male couple of 25 years. We are blessed with a large family and friend network who can’t wait for us to adopt! Although our personalities are different, we love each other unconditionally and share the same core values. Heath has been in healthcare and leadership for 25 years. Jim led a successful career in landscape architecture and construction, owning and leading two successful companies he just sold two years ago. We enjoy family, friends, traveling abroad, trying new restaurants, and music. We also love just spending time together with our adorable pups, Penelope and Huckleberry. We like an adventure and seeing the world and different cultures but are also homebodies who are crazy for Christmas!
We have a beautiful, large home designed with private gardens perfect for a play structure and sports! We already know which room and private bath will be the nursery! Our home is in one of the most historic areas of the city, with excellent public and private schools. Our neighborhood hosts one of the top universities and medical research centers in the U.S. Also, the world-renowned children’s hospital is less than a mile away. Our community is very safe, diverse, welcoming, and beautiful. Parks, museums, sports venues, and theaters are located within minutes. Our sweet pups, Penelope (4), a rescued beagador, and Huckleberry (2), a rescued Lab mix are so sweet and wonderful with kids! They’re so ready to play with a new brother or sister!
Together we have an amazing family and chosen-family network! Our family consists of three grandparents, four siblings, four brothers-in-law, seven nieces and nephews, and 42 cousins. Our chosen-family network is 45 wide and growing! We also have one niece and one nephew who are toddlers as well as two best friends’ sons whom this child will grow up with! We love boating at the lake house, family reunions in the summer for grandparents’ birthdays, and warm Thanksgiving and Christmas annual holiday traditions. Together, we enjoy karaoke competitions, cooking, baking, game nights, and, most importantly, laughing and acting silly!
We haven’t stopped thinking about adopting in the last 10 years. Jim is now staying home doing freelance projects, and Heath works from home daily. We are very financially secure to give a child the best in life. Therefore, we can’t think of a better time to share our family, wisdom, love, and life experiences to create the most caring of environments to raise our beautiful child. We are thrilled to add a new addition to our loving home!
