What advice do you have for our waiting families?
Whatever ideas you have about what your adoption journey will or should look like, let them go. Have no expectations except the expectations you have of YOURSELF. Be happy, but also understand that disappointments may occur. It doesn't have to be the end. This is a journey that can be unpredictable, but also the most joyful. Be completely open to a new adventure that may produce ups and downs and highs and lows. Some disappointments lead to your greatest blessings. Feel what you feel, but continue to love yourself, remember why you're on this journey, feel confident in who you are as an individual and as a family, and know that YOU CAN DO THIS! There are expectant mothers and babies out there who need YOU! YOU GOT THIS!
